Rs120mn allocated for cycling tracks on main roads of Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: In a bid to promote cycling activities, a sum of Rs120 million has been allocated to mark cycling tracks on the main avenues of Rawalpindi, informed the Rawalpindi Development Authority.
Under phase 1 of the project, a 5km-long cycling lane will be marked from Karal Chowk to Ammar Chowk. The width of the cycling lane will be 5ft.
In phase-II, the track will be marked from Ammar Chowk to Chaklala Scheme-III and Jinnah Park, stretching along with Golf Club and Ayub Park playland. Moreover, the phase-III will be developed from Fauji Foundation Hospital to Jinnah Park and Ammar Chowk.
